 Kerala: High court of Kerala rejected the divorce petition saying that the young generation considers marriage 'evil'.The court remarked that the 'use and throw away attitude is disturbing to society.

According to India's NDTV, the 51-year-old man filed for divorce on the grounds of marital breakdown. In the same case, the decision of the family court came out on August 24, against which the man appealed.

The high court, in its orders, said that the man was having an affair with another woman since 2017, but his 38-year-old wife was willing to accept him and they also have three daughters.

It is also written in the court order that 'Nowadays the new generation considers marriage as a bad thing and wants to live a free life without any responsibility.'The court said that these people will replace the word 'wife' with the word 'wari' which means eternal trouble and the old concept of the word 'wise investment forever' will be left behind.

The petitioner had approached the High Court after the Family Court dismissed an appeal alleging that his wife, who lives with three daughters, had assaulted him. had refused. The court passed orders under the Divorce Act 1869 stating that the petitioner has not been able to provide any evidence of violence on the part of the wife.

The couple from the Alpuja district of Kerala got married in 2009 and in 2018 the husband approached the court for a divorce. On the other hand, the mother-in-law stands with the daughter-in-law in this case and says that she wants to see the husband and wife living with the children.

Kerala was once called the home of the gods and was known for its strong family ties, but now marriage bonds seem to have weakened, the court heard from the youth. The consumer culture seems to have affected our marital relationship as well and is moving towards 'use and throw away, says the court.

According to the decree, 'the cries of the devastated families are shaking the conscience of the society.'The bench says that 'in this case, the behavior of the wife after the relationship of the husband with another woman cannot be termed inappropriate'.
