PTI telethon to help flood victims Rs 5 billion 20 crores collected

In order to help flood victims in Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Insaf's fundraising live telethon campaign has collected more than 5 billion 20 crore rupees. It has been reported from the official Twitter handle of Tehreek-e-Insaf on Sunday that more than 5 billion 20 crore rupees were collected in just two hours during the live telethon. Former Prime Minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan himself was also present in this telethon campaign on various social media platforms on Sunday.

In the telethon, Pakistanis in various fields including showbiz, sports, and politics announced donations for the flood victims. Speaking in a live telethon, Imran Khan alleged that the government is obstructing their campaign to collect aid for the flood victims.

This telethon was not a political event, the three TV channels that were showing the telethon were switched off on cable. Such indifference has not been done by any government to date. It should be noted that earlier on August 29, Imran Khan organized the first live telethon to help the flood victims, in which more than five billion rupees were collected.
