Pepsi's billboard and Mons Elahi,

A tweet of the former federal minister and Punjab Chief Minister Monis Elahi's son has become a topic of discussion on Pakistani social media.

Munis Elahi took to his Twitter account on Sunday morning to share a picture of a Pepsi advertisement billboard in which Pakistani cricketers are seen acting in the corner of the billboard with the words 'Dil Mange Abhi' written in Roman Urdu. Munis Elahi wrote Urdu in Roman script and he wrote, "It is wrong to write Urdu phrases in Roman script in some TV, newspaper and billboard advertisements."

Chief Minister Punjab's son also said that he was thinking of "stopping it through legislation so that our future generations insist on reading and writing our national language, Urdu."

There are dozens of other tweets in which users advised Mons Elahi to get his priorities straight and the Punjab government should focus on relief efforts in the flood-affected areas right now.
