Naseem Shah memorable six in Pakistan's Asia Cup final

In the Asia Cup T20 Super Four stage match, Pakistan reached the final by defeating Afghanistan by one wicket after a sensational match. In the match played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, Pakistan achieved the target of 130 runs with the loss of nine wickets on the second ball of the 20th over. Naseem Shah remained not out on 14 and Muhammad Hasnain on zero. With the victory of Pakistan, not only Afghanistan but also India has been eliminated from the Asia Cup.

On behalf of Green Shirts, Shadab Khan scored 36 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 30 runs. For Afghanistan, Fazul Haq Farooqui and Farid Ahmed took three wickets each. Pakistan won the toss and the decision to bowl first proved correct the Afghanistan team could score 129 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran scored the highest 35 runs, while on behalf of Pakistan, Haris Rauf dismissed two players.

Description of Pakistan's innings

Chasing 130 runs, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings but the Pakistani captain's failure in the tournament continued and he left lbw on the second ball of the first over. Fakhar Zaman also could not show any special performance and be run out after scoring five runs. In the 20th over, Pakistan needed 11 runs to win and only one wicket remained but Naseem Shah made the impossible possible by hitting Fazlul Haq Farooqui for two consecutive batman-hit sixes to take his team to the final.

Account of Afghanistan's innings

On behalf of Afghanistan, Rahimullah Garbaz and Hazratullah Zazai started the innings aggressively. Garbaz hit Mohammad Hasnain for two consecutive sixes but Haris Rauf bowled him in the next over.

Hazratullah Zazai's Naseem Shah dropped the catch but despite getting a chance, he could not stay on the wicket for long and after scoring 21 runs, he was bowled by Mohammad Hasnain.

After the dismissal of the openers, the Afghan middle order started batting cautiously, but Karim Jannat was caught in the 12th over trying to hit the ball off Mohammad Nawaz. Najeebullah Zadran caught on the boundary trying to hit Shadab Khan for a six and scored 10 runs.

He became a victim of Haris Rauf by scoring 35 runs.

On the very first ball of the next over, Naseem Shah bowled Mohammad Nabi for zero. The sixth player to be dismissed was Ibrahim Zadran. He became a victim of Haris Rauf by scoring 35 runs.

"It's better to chase the target" After winning the toss, Babar Azam said, "We think it will get wet later, so it is better to chase the target." "The mood in the (Pakistani) camp is good and we will try to maintain (the winning momentum)," he said.
