NA 245: PTI candidate heading for victory with a huge margin


Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is on its way to victory in the NA-245 by-election of Karachi District East Constituency.

According to the unofficial results of the election held on Sunday, out of the 263 polling stations in the constituency, the results of 250 polling stations have been received so far on the Election Commission's RMS system.

According to these results, PTI's Mehmood Maulvi is ahead with 28 thousand 405 votes.

MQM Pakistan's candidate Moeed Anwar is second with 13 thousand 300 votes, while Muhammad Ahmad Raza of Tehreek Labeek Pakistan is third with 9 thousand two votes.

Dr. Farooq Sattar, the candidate of the former head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, who contested the election as an independent, got 3 thousand 130 votes, while Hafeezuddin, the candidate of Syed Mustafa Kamal's Jamaat Pak Sarzameen Party, has managed to get 1 thousand 20 votes so far.

It should be remembered that the total number of voters in constituency NA 245 is more than 51 lakh.


The voting rate in the by-elections held on Sunday was very low. The voting turnout was around 10.91.

It should be noted that this seat fell vacant after the death of Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain, a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
