The fundraising live telethon campaign of Tehreek-e-Insaf to help flood victims in Pakistan has collected more than 4 billion 14 hundred rupees
Former Prime Minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan himself was present in this telethon campaign on various social media platforms on Monday.
In the telethon, Pakistanis from home and abroad and prominent people from various fields including showbiz, sports, and politics announced donations for the flood victims.
Former captain of the Pakistan cricket team and member of Imran Khan's 1992 World Cup winning team Inzamam-ul-Haq was also present on the video link at the ceremony.
On this occasion, Imran Khan, while talking about Pakistan's loss to India in the Asia Cup in a light manner, said that 'We should have batted five overs yesterday, you would have won us the match.'
Inzamam-ul-Haq smiled at Imran Khan's words. Before that, he had said that he is with Imran Bhai in this good work, it is a goal that everyone should support.
Speaking in the program, former Prime Minister Imran Khan called the recent floods the biggest tragedy in history.
He said that Pakistan lost 1000 billion rupees due to this flood and more than 1000 lives were lost.
He said that "Dr. Sania Nishtar has been appointed as the head of the flood relief fund and under her supervision, the money of this fund will be spent on the flood victims all over Pakistan."
He said that as a nation we have to help our flood victims by joining our youth volunteer force to help the victims.
