Imran government, 174 MLAs did not speak even for a minute in the House


ISLAMABAD: A PLDAT report revealed that 174 members of the 342-member National Assembly remained silent and mute during the Imran era and did not speak for even a minute.

 They showed complete detachment from the proceedings of the National Assembly. They include 84 members of PTI, 48 members of the Muslim League (N), and 23 members of PPP. In the fourth year of the 15th National Assembly, 8 The percentage decrease was observed, Bilawal Bhutto, Shehbaz Sharif, and Khawaja Asif spoke the most during the PTI era.

The report provided a detailed review of the 4-year performance of the current National Assembly. At the end of the fourth parliamentary year of the 15th National Assembly, Pldat released the Assembly Performance Report based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 The pundit also stated in its comparative analysis that the fourth year of the 15th National Assembly saw a decrease of 8 percent in legislative activities, with the 15th National Assembly sitting for only 87 days in the fourth parliamentary year.

During the fourth year, the average attendance of MNAs was recorded at 67% till 9 April 2022. During the fourth year of the National Assembly, Imran Khan attended only one (1) sitting of the Assembly.
