Canada's government announced five million dollars in aid to Pakistan

The Pakistan High Commission for Flood Relief and Rehabilitation in Pakistan organized a meeting of officials of local Pakistani-Canadian organizations in Ottawa.
At the meeting, Pakistani High Commissioner Zaheer Janjua, while briefing the participants, said that 33.3 million people have been affected by the floods so far, and more than 1100 human lives have been lost.

He said that the Canadian government initially announced an aid of 5 million Canadian dollars for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims in Pakistan, for which the people of Pakistan are grateful to the Canadian government and the people.
