Shahbaz Gul's physical remand request was rejected and again sent to jail.

The local court of Islamabad has sent Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehbaz Gul to jail on judicial remand while rejecting the request to hand him over to the police on further physical remand.
The hearing was held in the court of Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman, in which special prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi appeared on behalf of the police, while his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry appeared on behalf of Shahbaz Gul.
When the hearing began, Special Prosecutor Rizwan told the court that the investigation of Shehbaz Gul was not completed and his polygraphic test was yet to be conducted.
On this occasion, Shahbaz Gul's lawyer Faisal Chaudhry read out the decision of the Islamabad High Court regarding the inquiry report on the alleged torture.
He said that it is written in the judgment that Shahbaz Gul was tortured which was hidden and the court has ordered a judicial inquiry.
According to Faisal Chaudhry, the police have recovered the phone from Shehbaz Gul, now how many more phones do they want? He gave the interview from landline no.
Public Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi told the court that the progress of the earlier remand was in progress and another case was registered.
Mobile phones and four USBs have been recovered during the last 48 hours of remand. He said that during the investigation, it has been found that the interview was given from the landline number of Bani Gala, while he is also to be taken to Lahore for the polygraphic test.
He requested the court to remand him for further investigation.
During the hearing, the Judicial Magistrate said that the Islamabad High Court has ordered an investigation into the torture.
According to him, " He said that the inquiry officer has to decide whether violence has taken place or not.   . What is the relationship between physical remand and inquiry."
On which Rizwan Abbasi told the court that it has nothing to do with physical remand, it is yet to be determined whether there was violence or not.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court reserved its decision to grant physical remand or not, which was heard shortly after.

PTI leader Shehbaz Gul, who was arrested on charges of inciting sedition against institutions, was produced in the Judicial Magistrate's court under tight security on completion of his two-day physical remand on Wednesday.
