Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan

 

Strict security arrangements have been made on the occasion of the appearance of former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad today.

A heavy contingent of Islamabad Police has been deployed around the judicial complex while all the roads leading to the complex have been cordoned off with barbed wire.

Journalists will also be allowed limited access to the Anti-Terrorism Court.

The former prime minister will approach the court for bail in the terrorism case.

It should be noted that on August 20, Imran Khan, in his speech at a rally in Islamabad, had allegedly threatened the senior officers of the Islamabad Police, on which an FIR was registered against them under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the Margalla police station had gone.

On August 22, Imran Khan approached the Islamabad High Court for protective bail. Islamabad High Court has granted protective bail to Imran Khan till August 25.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said in a statement that the government will try to reject Imran Khan's bail.

According to the federal minister, we will ensure that Imran Khan is arrested from the court itself.
