Faisalabad: 6 accused were arrested for allegedly refusing to marry a girl

After the incident of violence against a woman for allegedly refusing to marry in the city of Faisalabad, Pakistan, the police registered a case of the incident and claimed the arrest of six accused including a woman.

According to the copy of the FIR, six known and 10 unknown suspects tortured a resident of Faisalabad for refusing to marry her.

The main accused is said to be a well-known businessman in the country including Faisalabad. Two women are also among the accused, one of whom is the daughter of the main accused and one is a maid. According to the police, the maid is also among the arrested persons.

A Faisalabad Police spokesman told that the police will present the accused in court this morning and obtain their remand, after which the media will be briefed on the investigation process.

It is stated in the case that the accused barged into the house of the petitioner and tortured him, took his phones, cash, and gold ornaments, and later took him and one of his brothers to their house. They were subjected to further torture and the shoes of the said woman were stolen.

According to the case, the petitioner has been medically examined while the police have added other provisions in the FIR including rape, theft after torture, false imprisonment, and torture.
